QUICK-LAUNCH:THE TWO-DAY BUSINESS PLAN

presented by: Griffin-Hammis Associates, LLC

OVERVIEW
The purpose of Quick Launch is to produce a working business plan draft, used for leveraging support and financing. By the end of Quick Launch, you will have produced that working document. However, it will not be precise in terms of pricing, profitability, depreciation, or in terms of the substantial impact of SSA Work Incentives or funding from VR or WIA programs. Griffin-Hammis Associates offers training and consultation on pricing, developing financial projections, and on SSA Work Incentives, such as PASS, and encourages those sessions as next steps to designing accurate business plans and establishing local business development capacity.

Quick Launch 2 – May 13 and 14 (Tuesday and Wednesday)

Workers with Disabilities

Navigating through the varied services and programs that impact your ability to return to work can be confusing and frustrating. Knowing how employment can impact your current benefits is complex. Fear of losing cash assistance and health benefits can often discourage people with disabilities from working. The WorkSource Disability Navigators will assist you with accurate information and appropriate referral, and will guide you toward employment.

The Disability Navigator serves to better inform SSI and SSDI beneficiaries and other individuals with disabilities about work support programs now available at WorkSource Career Service Centers. The Disability Navigator helps people with disabilities “navigate” through the enormous challenges of seeking work, while educating the job seeker how to empower themselves to be the best self-advocates possible.

The Navigator is a resource person who can guide job seekers with disabilities of all levels through the complexity of entitlement programs, the ADA and career guidance. The Navigator helps people with disabilities to access the services and various programs that impact their ability to gain, return to or retain employment and meet their career objectives.

The goal of the Navigator Initiative is to increase employment and self-sufficiency for people with disabilities by linking them to businesses and connecting them to the labor market.

WorkSource is an equal employment opportunity organization. Auxiliary aids and services are available upon request to individuals with disabilities. Deaf, Hard of Hearing customers use FRS-711.
