If you are having difficulty matching your skills to available job opportunities, training may be an option. We will perform an assessment to see if you might be eligible for assistance with training and education. Programs include vocational certification and associate’s degree curricula through public and private training partners in our area.

There are several FREE work and life related workshops available for you at any of our WorkSource Services Centers. Topics include writing effective resumes, interviewing, dressing for success, financial planning, and more.

You can also benefit from our partnerships with First Coast employers who are actively recruiting people with your skill sets. We schedule and manage job fairs and other forums for jobseekers to meet with potential employers face-to-face.

Public Assistance and Community Transition

WorkSource can guide you through the requirements and applications processes for public assistance through the Welfare to Work program. Based on your eligibility, you may get temporary cash assistance (TANF), food stamps and child care assistance, while looking for a job.

Everyone deserves a second chance. If your background includes legal problems that prevent you from qualifying for a job, we can help. Through regional partnerships, WorkSource is able to provide special services to help you make your workplace transition successful.
