As an Employment Network (or EN) through the Social Security Administration's Ticket to Work Program, WorkSource helps people with disabilities get access to the opportunities and services they need.

The Ticket to Work and Self-Sufficiency Program increases opportunities and choices for Social Security disability beneficiaries to obtain employment, Vocational Rehabilitation (VR), and other support services from public and private providers, employers, and other organizations.

Developed as part of the Ticket to Work and Work Incentives Improvement Act of 1999, the program was designed to remove some of the barriers that kept people with disabilities from going back to work, such as the concern of losing health care coverage.
